Our History
In the summer of 2001, Kristen felt God's leading to start a youth radio show that would be aired in her hometown of Timmins, Ontario. With no on-air experience or any idea of how to put together a radio show, this seemed like a crazy idea, but sometimes the craziest ideas are the best ones.
The MAD Christian Radio Show was aired for the first time in November 2001 on CHIM 102.3 in Timmins. For the next eighteen months, through the highs and the lows, the radio show reached youth in Timmins.
Soon The MAD Christian Radio Show expanded and in September 2003, doors were opened and the radio show officially became syndicated. It wasn't long before stations across North America began requesting the show, before spreading worldwide. Thanks to our incredible partner stations, MAD is making a difference in the lives of people around the world, introducing them to the Light in the Darkness, Jesus, and reminding them of the hope we have in Him.
