Since it is the month of September and many of you listening to this devotional are getting ready to head back to school, whether it be high school or college, this devotional is specifically for you.

If you're anything like the way that I was, you're not really looking forward to getting back in the books this fall. Let's face it, most of us hate the busyness that comes with tests, assignments, after school jobs, etc. And I know how busy it can be when you're at school, but I'd like to encourage you today to make another commitment ontop of everything else that year. The commitment to make a difference in at least one person's life this year. I don't care how you go about it or when you do it, just make the commitment that you won't let the year go by without making a difference in at least one life.

And out of that one life, something beautiful is going to happen. Let me share with you a little true story:

At Timmins High school, where I spent my high school years, there was a girl named Ashley. Now Ashley was a Christian, and she decided that she was going to make a difference in the lives of her classmates and she started inviting her friends to youth group with her.

One of those friends, went, absolutely loved it and ended up giving her life to Christ, but the story doesn't stop there.

Here I am, in grade eleven and I see the drastic change in my friend's life, who has just become a believer. Intrigued, when she asks me to come out to youth group, I agree and a few months later I become a Christian.

And the chain goes on.

You see, had that one girl named Ashley choosen to just play play popular and not risk reaching out to her friends, I would have never become a Christian. And neither would at least ten other people who all have become Christians as a result of Ashley's actions. No, maybe she didn't lead them each to Christ, but her actions started a domeno effect.

As you head back to school, you have the potential to start that same effect. Whether it's with a friend or a classmate or a teacher or someone you don't even know. You have the potential to make an eternal difference in someone else's life.

jjToday, I am challenging you to make a commitment that you will not let this school year go by without sharing and showing the love of Christ to at least one person. One person is all it takes. This is not the original devotional that I planned with sharing with you today. In fact, I had something completely different prepared, but when God moves, He moves and I know that there is more than one person out there who is right now being prompted to make a difference.

If that's you, and you'd like to stay accountable for this decision, I would love to help you out in whatever way I can. Feel free to email me anytime at madradioshow@hotmail.com.

Now get out there and make a difference!
