We often, especially at the time of year, hear talk about Jesus' death. Now while there is nothing wrong with focusing on His death and the sacrifice that He apid, it would be a pity to miss out on one of the greatest things of all in the Easter story.
You want to hear what it is? I'll tell you, but be prepared because this little sentance that I'm about to say can change your life. Here it is: Jesus is alive. Yes, He died for our sins, but this Jesus isn't a historical figure to be burried in history. He is alive and that reality alone can change the course of our lives forever.
So often I think we are like the women in the Gospel of Luke who went looking for Jesus in the tomb- we're searching in the wrong place. Yes, we must meet Jesus at the cross, but unless we embrace the life He offers, our faith will wither and die.
So what kind of life does Jesus offer? He offers abundant life. He offers peace for today, hope for tomorrow, and strength for our trials. He offers an exciting life walking by His side straight into eternity. He offers to be our provider, our sustainer, and our friend. Jesus exchanged His life for yours so that you can have all of this and so much more!
Today looking around it's very easy to be hopeless and lifeless, but Jesus wants to change all that. The key is- you have to let Him.
Right now, I'm inviting you, wherever you are at, to accept the life that Jesus offers. Invite Him into your heart and I promise you, you will never be the same!
If you'd like to accept the life that Jesus offers, I invite you to pray with me:
Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and I'd like to accept the gift of forgiveness that You offer me. I invite you to come into my heart and make it new. Take my life and fill it with the abundance that You offer me.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to walk with You for all the days of my life.
In your name I pray.
Amen.
If you just prayed this prayer with me, I'd love to hear from you and send you some free stuff to help you grow in your relationship with God. Email me at madradioshow@hotmail.com or put madradioshow@hotmail.com on your MSN list.
